There are a number of improvements to Contacts and Contact Groups in multiTXT. Contacts are now much more meaningful and easier to use. Below are some of the major improvements.
'Address books' are now 'Contact Groups'
Address books are now called 'Contact Groups' and are under the 'Contacts' section within multiTXT.
Automatic blacklist
The upgraded multiTXT places an increased emphasis on compliance and best practice. So, when a recipient replies with a stop word (STOP, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE) they will be automatically added to the blacklist.
Removed invalid contacts
Only contacts with valid mobile numbers now appear on the new version of multiTXT. This was a bug with the original version, contacts with invalid phone numbers would never have successfully received a message.
Contact name and alias
Contact names now allows users to specify special characters and spaces, allowing for first and last name to be specified.
Block numbers can be shared to sub-accounts
Blocked numbers can now be shared with sub-accounts. Only administrators on the parent account can now unsubscribe contacts.
Shared contacts can only be edited by administrators
Shared contacts can now only be edited by administrators on the parent account.
Blocked Numbers are now 'Unsubscribed' contacts
Blocked Numbers can now have additional contact information added to them, and are now 'Unsubscribed' contacts. Navigating to Contacts and filtering by 'Unsubscribed' will allow users to see and export a list of unsubscribed contacts.
