The upgraded multiTXT experience empowers administrators with more control over their account and allows them to place controls on sending based on industry best practice.
Social sending is a new feature that restricts SMS delivery to between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Any message sent or scheduled after 6:00pm will be held until 8:00am the next day.
Administrators can now control their own usage limits. You can now set hourly or daily limits.
Administrators can now update their own account name. This is particularly useful if you have multiple users and want to use a naming convention that better reflects how the account is being used (function, department, use-case, environment etc). This does not have any impact on the username used for logging in to the Web UI.
Email to SMS
Email to SMS can now be provisioned and configured by administrators. This previously required to be provisioned by Vodafone which is no longer the case.
Automation rules can now be set up on an account. Initially, this will allow administrators to configure rules such as forwarding to mobile or creating opt-in/opt-out contact groups based on keywords.
Basic Account Limits
Basic accounts are limited to:
- 250 messages per day
- No bulk tasks (such as mail merge, contact upload)
- No Email to SMS
- No Reporting
- No Automation Rules
Account Settings, Email to SMS, and Automation rules are all configured on an account. If you have multiple subaccounts, you can use the account switcher at the top to jump between accounts. You will need to switch accounts to do the following:
- Manage account settings (SMS limits, Account Name, Social Sending)
- Email to SMS settings
- Automation rules
- Managing templates
- Managing shared contacts
