We have recently released a new REST API for MultiTXT customers to use for sending and receiving messages. Full documentation of this API is available here
The most common reason for this error message is that either the username or password used to set up the API is incorrect. When your multiTXT account is created, the login credentials for the account are used for both the Web Portal and for API access. However, the API credentials do not change when the Web Portal password is changed. If you are receiving a 401 error when trying to set up the API, ask yourself these questions:
- Am I using the login credentials for the original multiTXT user on my account?
- Am I using the original password that was created for this user?
If you have checked this and still receive the 401 error, then please send an email containing the error message the multiTXT credentials you’re using to firstname.lastname@example.org, and our support team will sort this for you.
